What you need
- 5 to 7 fabric circles, about 10 inches across (gingham or calico works well)
- Fiberfill stuffing
- A long needle and strong thread or yarn
- A bow and a loop of cord for hanging
Steps
- Sew a loose running stitch around the edge of one fabric circle, leaving long thread ends.
- Put a small puff of stuffing in the center, then pull the thread tight to close the circle into a stuffed ball, and tie it off.
- Repeat this for the rest of the circles, so you end up with 5 to 7 puffy balls.
- Thread a long needle with strong thread and sew through the middle of each ball to link them together, keeping the stitched ends hidden inside the balls.
- Shape the linked balls into a ring and tie the ends together at the top.
- Sew a loop of cord to the top for hanging, and add a bow.
