Start with what the learner can already do and one small next step. Grade labels are broad; adjust the reading level, numbers, materials, and time to fit the child.
Choose a weekly question
Try “What makes a useful playground?” Read or discuss a short description, sketch a plan, count or measure features, and explain a design choice.

Close the week
Keep one sample of work and ask the learner to explain it. Note a success, a question, and a next step. Reuse a helpful task rather than adding more just to fill a schedule.
